After being in the corporate world for close to twenty years, my wife and I began looking for franchise opportunities that would allow us the possibility of eventually exiting corporate America. Our criteria for selecting a franchise model was focused on businesses that were scalable, required few employees, had strong corporate support , and were somewhat disruptive in their industry. Units checked all those boxes for us. After 7 months of being operational, we couldn’t be happier with the progress we are making. We are elated with the continuous support we receive from corporate and the immense potential of this business is very evident. We now have a clear roadmap to finally exiting the corporate world after all.
My wife and I originally chose UNITS for four main reasons. We wanted… 1) A fairly straight forward business without a lot of complication that we could turn over to a General Manager at some point when we were ready to retire. 2) A business that could provide a nice income stream to supplement our retirement savings, 3) A business model that was part of a growth industry, & 4) We wanted a business that had some significant barriers to entry. UNITS met all the criteria and we’re reaping the rewards of that decision.
I found myself in a position of losing a high-paying corporate job and all the stability that came with it, but used the opportunity to do what I’ve always wanted to do-and that is to own my own business. I wanted something that had high potential with a requirement of limited employees, a simple business model and with easy scalability. In the end, I chose UNITS because it not only met all of these requirements, but after doing my due-diligence, meeting with all the UNITS personnel and talking to other franchise owners I saw a very simple business model and it was the right fit for me. As I write this, I am 100% sold out of containers and I cannot wait until my next shipment gets here.
